10 tips and tricks related to the Sandbox User Interface


The main editor view contains main menu bar, rollup bar, status bar and console. This are the main editing tools which help create terrain, bring object in game, apply texture and more advanced tool like scripting.

User can customize the interface layout by layout configuration window on the display menu under configure layout, which user can set multiply view in the layout settings e.g. perspective/ top/ front and left view.

The rollup bar located at the right hand side of the screen which contains tools for create object and editing terrain for in game environments.

The selection strip help identify location of the object in game environment, it display of the x,y,z in direction/ distance and there other function which can change the speed of the viewport navigation.

Flow graph which is the scripting language in sandbox editor, it allow script to command objects or events happen during in game mode. It

Material Editor is containing the library of the materials to be used in game. The material editor has option to imported and exported custom materials to apply onto objects.

The material editor has large range of editing option to apply effect onto selected object. There have texture maps options which increase the realism of the object in the diffuse, bump and more.

Terrain editor which create terrain into the game editor mode, there user can set water level and automatic terrain generation controls.

Texture browser help sorted and searched for texture properties when looking for texture applying onto the materials.

Time of day which is control range of the sky setting in the game, which include sun position, set of time,  sky colours, fog settings, blending settings, day time/ night time.
